Become an Electrician With an Online Course in the UK?

On this page

Quick answer: An online course cannot make you a qualified electrician in the UK on its own. The National Careers Service says even with a qualification you still need practical workplace experience and on-the-job training. It also advises checking what any training course offers before you sign up. The route that fully qualifies you is a Level 3 apprenticeship, or the Experienced Worker Assessment after 3 or 5 years.
