The UK electrical installation regulation named by the Institution of Engineering and Technology is BS 7671, the IET Wiring Regulations, which that page calls the national standard for electrical installations in the UK. The same page says you stay compliant by using the current edition and any applicable amendments. It does not call the standard a draft.
The fetched page says BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 has now been published. It also says Amendment 3:2024 to BS 7671:2018, the Brown Book, remains a valid standard until 15 October 2026, and that during this period electrical installers may work to either edition. Conductor sizes on this page are written in mm² and lengths in millimetres, not in AWG and not in feet.
The IET says it co-publishes BS 7671 with the British Standards Institution and leads the UK national Wiring Regulations committee, JPEL/64. The page lists changes in Amendment 4:2026 that include a new chapter on stationary secondary batteries for storage and supply, a new section on functional earthing and functional equipotential bonding for information and communication technology equipment, a new section on Power over Ethernet, and a major revision of Section 710 medical locations, including a schedule of test results for the resistance of supplementary protective equipotential bonding conductors.
This is the United Kingdom page of the site. It does not repeat a Texas exam format, and it does not state fees or pass rates, because the IET page that was fetched does not give them. The English homepage stays the Texas page.
