Short answer: tell us your state, where you are in the licensing process and when you can start. We are building a list of licensed electrical contractors who hire apprentices and helpers. Your details stay with us until a contractor in your state passes our license check, and we email you before anyone sees them. It is free for you.
This is a list, not a job posting. We do not advertise openings we do not have.
Who this is for
- Career changers who want paid work in the trade while they apply to an apprenticeship.
- Applicants on a JATC ranked list who want hours and experience while they wait.
- Registered apprentices and trainees looking for a new sponsoring contractor.
What we share, and with whom
Shared only after you agree
Your first name, email, state and metro, license stage, earliest start date and years of experience. Only with licensed electrical contracting companies whose license we have checked on the state’s public license lookup.
Never collected or sold
No phone number, Social Security number, date of birth or driver’s license. We never sell or share your details with schools, lenders or marketers. You can leave the list at any time.

How we use it: we store your answers to match you with licensed contractors hiring in your state. To leave the list or delete your details, email hello@tsaielectro.com with the subject “Remove me”. Contractors who join may pay Tsai Electro; you never pay.
While you wait
- Check your state’s rules. Some states, such as Texas and California, require an apprentice or trainee registration before you work on wiring.
- Apply to a JATC too. See which test each JATC uses and who is open.
- Get test-ready. Most JATCs rank applicants on an aptitude test; practice now so you are ready when applications open.
Get test-ready while you wait: try the free timed aptitude practice.
U.S. Edition: 1,300 math and 216 reading questions, 6 timed simulations, interview prep and a guide to 49 JATCs. One payment, files yours to keep.
