Questions people ask
Which aptitude test prep covers Texas apprenticeship programs?
Among the products compared here, only the Texas Electrical Apprenticeship Entry Kit covers Texas programs: 13 programs with requirements, dates, costs and contacts, each with its official source and check date. The other products’ own pages, checked October 9, 2026, do not mention Texas programs.
Does any aptitude test prep help with getting hired by a contractor?
The Entry Kit includes a Houston call list of 29 licensed electrical contractors, a call script and a tracker, plus a spreadsheet of licensed contractors in six Texas counties. None of the other products’ pages we checked mention help with the contractor or sponsor step.
How long do I keep access?
Ultimate Electrician’s Guide sells one year of access, iPREP 30 days with paid extensions, JobTestPrep 7, 30 or 90 days, Prepterminal 90 days and Mometrix bills monthly. The Entry Kit is a one-time download that is yours to keep.
Is there free practice for the electrical aptitude test?
Yes. The electrical training ALLIANCE posts sample algebra and reading questions with an answer key, and Tsai Electro’s free practice has a 10-question quick start plus a full timed algebra section (33 questions, 46 minutes) and reading section (36 questions, 51 minutes).
What refund do these products offer?
The Entry Kit, Ultimate Electrician’s Guide and iPREP offer 30-day refunds; Ultimate Electrician’s Guide adds a pass-or-refund with conditions. Mometrix and Prepterminal list 7 days, and JobTestPrep lists three refund cases.
