Energy cost estimator turns “how much energy and how much money” into a quick, reliable check. Enter power (W), or use voltage/current (V/A) to estimate power. For AC loads, add power factor (PF) for a more realistic result. With hours per day and price per kWh, you’ll instantly see daily, monthly, and yearly kWh and cost—perfect for proposals, site walk-throughs, or comparing appliances at home.
Energy & Cost Estimator

How to use the AC/DC Energy & Cost Estimator
- Select AC or DC; for AC, consider adding PF (default 0.90).
- Choose input: Power (W) or Voltage (V) + Current (A) (the tool computes power).
- Fill hours per day, price per kWh, and days per month (usually 30).
- Click “Calculate” to get daily/monthly/yearly kWh and cost.
Typical scenarios & tips
- Home appliances: Use nameplate power; for variable-speed devices, estimate via measured current.
- Servers/racks: Add PF; if using UPS/PDU, consider extra losses or a safety factor.
- On-site checks: V/I is fast; remember voltage drop at high loads.
