Choose study materials for the stage your learners are at: applying for an apprenticeship, getting ready for day one or preparing for a licensing exam. Tsai Electro offers individual study kits and membership. A group arrangement starts with a conversation about what your program needs.
For a quick look at the learning topics, explore the Texas electrician skill tree.
Who this is for
- Texas apprenticeship programs choosing extra study material for applicants or apprentices.
- Workforce training and veteran transition teams helping people prepare for electrical work.
- Employers looking for study resources for new hires or apprentices preparing for an exam.
Use these materials alongside your own teaching and supervision. Your employer and apprenticeship program remain responsible for site safety orientation and required training. These resources do not replace that training or guarantee admission, a job or an exam pass.
Tsai Electro is an independent learning site. Not affiliated with TDLR, OSHA, the Department of Labor or any apprenticeship program.
What learners can use
The prices below are individual prices. They are shown to help you compare the current resources, not as a group quote. Download kits are separate purchases from membership.
Before applying
Texas Electrical Apprenticeship Entry Kit: US$49, one payment. A Texas route map and seven-day start plan, program cards, aptitude practice and interview preparation. Choose this when learners need help deciding where to apply as well as preparing their application.
Electrical Apprenticeship Aptitude and Interview Kit: US$39, one payment. Application guidance, math and reading practice, timed simulations and interview preparation. If you are comparing it with the Entry Kit, review both product pages before buying: their aptitude and interview materials overlap. These simulations target the electrical training ALLIANCE aptitude test; applicants should confirm which test their chosen program uses.
After an offer
Texas First-Year Electrical Apprentice Kit: US$19, one payment. A printable 26-page PDF with two editable CSV spreadsheets. It includes a pre-start checklist, questions for the employer and a tool budget sheet. The CSV files do not calculate totals automatically. This kit does not teach electrical work methods.
For exam preparation
Texas Journeyman Electrician Exam Practice Pack: US$39, one payment. Practice questions, ten timed two-part mock exams, worked calculation solutions and a printable workbook. Use it for learners studying toward the Journeyman exam.
Texas Master Electrician Exam Prep: US$79, one payment. Topic practice, ten timed two-part mocks and worked calculations for Master exam candidates. The mocks reuse questions from the practice bank. This is a later-stage resource, not a starting kit for a new apprentice.
For ongoing study: the Texas career skill tree
Membership is meant to remain useful after someone gets licensed. We are building it around the Texas career skill tree, where occupation nodes represent roles and skill nodes connect them. The planned path starts with no experience, then apprentice or helper work, Journeyman, and Master or contractor roles. Beyond those stages, we want the tree to help learners prepare for a promotion, change fields or start a business. Those are directions for growth; they do not mean every branch has study material today.
An individual member can currently save results from foundation activities and use the longer practice history and review features. Use the map to see the tree as it stands, then read the membership comparison before choosing a plan.
Compare individual membership: US$14.99 per month or US$99 per year. The monthly plan includes a seven-day free trial. Both plans renew automatically until canceled. Membership is an individual option; it does not establish a group plan.
What your program can decide now
Start with the resource that fits the next task in your own lessons. An applicant may need application practice; someone with an offer may need the first-year checklist. Exam packs belong later, when the learner is preparing for that exam.
For a group inquiry, tell us what you want learners to work on and how many people you expect. Leave learner names and personal records out of the inquiry. This page does not offer a coordinator dashboard or group progress reports.
How to start
Group pricing is quoted per program. Email hello@tsaielectro.com with your program name and seat count. Include the learners’ stage and the resource you are considering. An inquiry does not place an order or reserve seats. Access, timing and any group terms must be confirmed in writing before you buy for a group.
Questions from program staff
Can we buy a group plan on this page?
No. This is a resource overview and a way to request a quote. The linked pages show individual products and membership.
Are the download kits included in membership?
No. The kits listed here are separate purchases. Check the individual product page for its contents before choosing it.
Can staff see each learner’s progress?
This page offers no staff access to learner records, shared dashboard or group reporting. Keep personal learner information out of your first email.
Which resource should a new hire start with?
If the learner already has an offer, look at the First-Year Kit. If they are still choosing programs or preparing applications, compare the Entry Kit and the Aptitude and Interview Kit.
Does this count as required training or guarantee a result?
No. These are supplementary study resources. Required training comes from the employer and program. No admission, employment or exam result is promised.
Can one person start without a group quote?
Yes. They can compare the individual membership options or choose a separate kit from the product links above.
