The Calculations part is where Texas Master candidates get stuck

In TDLR’s fiscal year 2025 exam statistics, 19.08% of Master Calculations attempts passed, and 22.21% of Master NEC Knowledge attempts. Every retake costs US$78. This pack trains you for exactly the exam you will sit, with the hardest part first.

Built for the Texas Master exam and nothing else

  • The PSI two-part format. Part 1, NEC Knowledge: 75 questions in 150 minutes. Part 2, Calculations: 33 questions in 170 minutes. You need 70% on each part (49 of the 70 scored questions in NEC Knowledge, 21 of the 30 in Calculations), and time left in one part does not carry over to the next.
  • Weighted like the real exam. Every mock follows the scored items per topic area in the Texas PSI content outline. In Calculations, services and service equipment carry 8 of the 30 scored points and motors and generators carry 6, so the mocks give them the same weight.
  • The 2026 NEC. Texas exams follow the 2026 NEC from September 1, 2026. Load calculations moved from Article 220 to the new Article 120, and the questions and lookup paths use the 2026 locations.
  • Step-by-step calculations. Services, feeders, motors, transformers, conductors, raceway fill, EV chargers, RV parks and marinas: every calculation question shows the rule, the numbers given, every step, the rounding where it matters, and why each wrong option is wrong.

What you get

  • 10 full two-part timed mocks (Mock A–J). Each form has 75 NEC Knowledge questions and 33 Calculations questions. Questions are reused across forms from the 368-question bank; these are not 1,080 distinct questions.
  • A score card after every mock. Your score for each part against the 70% pass line, your score for each official topic area, and one line that names any part that scored below 70% on this mock.
  • Step-by-step solutions for all 110 calculation questions.
  • 368 practice questions across all 20 PSI topic areas, by topic or as a full mock, with the answer after each one.
  • Code-book navigation data for 321 questions. The remaining 47 have no navigation path. Some entries name only an article or point to an Informational Note; these are study aids, not proof that a code provision establishes the answer. Use your own 2026 NEC to check the applicable section or table.
  • Find-these-first list. The 60 code-book locations referenced most often by questions in this pack, ranked by frequency (Article 250, Article 430 and Article 120 first). PSI allows only permanent index tabs made or supplied by the NEC publisher; homemade tabs are not allowed in the exam room.
  • Unlimited retakes of practice rounds and mocks, a wrong-answer list and a weak-area check.

Price

US$79, one payment, no subscription and no auto-renewal.

Full Texas Master prep courses we checked on October 3, 2026 list at US$249 to US$399.95. US$79 is less than a third of the lowest of those and about a fifth of the highest, and about the cost of one PSI retake (US$78).

How we check questions

  • Every question is original, written to the 2026 NEC for the Texas Master PSI two-part format, and checked in a separate review pass before it goes live.
  • Every answer that relies on the code names its NEC article, and the 2026 section wherever it has been confirmed, with an open-book lookup path so you can confirm it in your own code book.
  • Every correction is published with its date in the practice-page corrections log.
  • Spot an error? Report it right from the question.
