What you get
- Book 1: The GAN Test, Lessons and Drills (195 pages): what GAN and the JATCs publish about the test, 15 JATCs referencing GAN’s test or Personal Experience Form (checked October 9, 2026; confirm the test type with your program), a 14-day Personal Experience Form planner (documentation rules vary by JATC; follow your program’s own instructions), a four-week study plan, a score tracker and error log, a lesson with a worked example and a pacing plan for each section, and 320 lesson and drill questions with full keys. Bonus: 54 circuit questions for your first apprentice year.
- Book 2: Practice Tests 1 to 5 (488 pages): five full-length GAN-style practice tests with answer sheets, score pages and worked keys.
- Book 3: Practice Tests 6 to 10 (490 pages): five more full-length GAN-style practice tests, built the same way.
Each practice test
2,020 test questions in the ten practice tests plus 320 lesson and drill questions in Book 1: 2,340 worked answers.
- Numerical Computation: 30 questions, 5 choices, no calculator.
- Reading: 42 sentence-completion questions on 7 passages, 4 choices.
- Mechanical Reasoning: 45 picture questions, 4 choices.
- Numerical Reasoning: 20 number series, 5 choices.
- Paper Folding: 30 fold-and-punch items, 5 picture choices.
- Problem Solving: 35 word problems, 5 choices, for JATCs that give the six-section version.
These are original GAN-style practice questions, not questions from the GAN test. Section counts and times are practice estimates; your JATC’s test may differ. They practice the skills and item types GAN’s published materials describe. They are not official GAN simulations, and their difficulty and timing have not been checked against the live test. GAN does not publish item counts or time limits per section, so the counts and practice times in this pack follow test-prep vendors’ published figures. Answer choices follow GAN’s own sample pages: five for Numerical Computation, Numerical Reasoning and Paper Folding, four for Reading and Mechanical Reasoning.
A suggested four-week schedule
- Week 1: Practice Test 1 cold and timed, then the Book 1 lessons for your two weakest sections.
- Week 2: drills for those sections; Practice Tests 2 and 3.
- Week 3: Practice Tests 4 to 6, each in one sitting, with the error log.
- Week 4: Practice Tests 7 to 10 under strict timing.
- Working full time: three 40-minute drill nights a week, free Test 1 in the first week (two sections on night one, the rest the next day), then one test each weekend: Tests 2, 5, 8 and 10. The other five tests are extra practice if you have time.
- Five-section JATC: skip Problem Solving in every test and its Book 1 drill.
- Print path: print the test pages and bubble sheets only (576 pages for all ten tests) and read the keys on screen.
How it was checked
- Every math and diagram answer re-solved by a separate checker script that uses a different method from the one that built the item; if the checker and the key disagree, the item is rewritten and the whole bank is checked again.
- All 420 reading answers confirmed by two blind readers working from files without keys: 420 of 420 matched.
- Every wrong choice is explained in the key by a “Why not” line.
- Found a mistake? Email hello@tsaielectro.com: we correct it within 48 hours and send the updated files to every buyer.
