Line Crew Qualification and Record Audit

Use a task-specific evidence register to find missing records before an employer assigns work. A document can be current and still fail to match the proposed task, vehicle, equipment or employer rule.

Boundary: this page does not verify a person’s identity, license, CDL, competence or authorization. Confirm every case with the issuing authority and responsible employer. Do not store license numbers, medical data or other private identifiers in shared notes.

OSHA’s rule ties training to job assignments and demonstrated proficiency. Texas DPS separates CDL classes and endorsements. Neither source lets a generic checklist choose the right person or vehicle.

Management audit control

Audit the record system, not just the worker file. For each category, preserve the governing source, applicable scope, record owner, checked date, expiration or review trigger if the source provides one, and the employer decision.

If identity, scope, record source, employer acceptance or authorization is missing, label the field unresolved. Do not infer it from a title, tenure, quiz score or a record that belongs to another person or task.
