Coming Soon: The Texas Journeyman Season Pass

Short answer: The Texas Journeyman Season Pass is a planned 12-week study season for the PSI exam. Each week has set tasks: practice questions, calculations, a code lookup and, later, timed mocks. Finishing tasks moves you along the season and unlocks rewards. It is not on sale yet. Join the waitlist to hear the start date first.

Part of Texas Electrician Exams: every Texas license step and exam in one place.

On this page

This page is a waitlist only. Nothing is sold here, and the plan below is a draft. Before the first season opens, the price, the start date and the full terms will be posted on this page.

How a season works

  • 12 weeks, one start date. Everyone in a season starts together and the season closes on a fixed date, so you have a finish line to study toward.
  • Weekly tasks. Each week lists a short set of tasks. Finish them to move one step along the 12-step season track.
  • A free track and a full track. Anyone can follow the free track. The full track adds the timed mocks, the worked solutions and the season-only rewards.
  • Rewards are earned, never random. Every reward comes from finishing tasks. There are no loot boxes or prize draws.
  • Season-only badge. Finish the season and you get that season’s badge. Once the season closes, that badge is gone for good.

The timing follows the PSI candidate bulletin for TDLR electricians, updated September 15, 2026: two parts, 70% needed on each, and time left in one part does not carry over (PSI bulletin).

Why a fixed season

Most Texas Journeyman exam attempts do not pass. In TDLR’s fiscal year 2025 figures, 24.46% of NEC Knowledge attempts and 20.56% of Calculations attempts passed (TDLR exam statistics, fiscal year 2025).

A set schedule shows up in the numbers. In TDLR’s early Journeyman figures for January to March 2026, candidates in an apprenticeship program, who study on a set schedule, passed 83.54% of first attempts, against 67.23% for all early candidates and 19.72% for repeat attempts (TDLR staff report, May 12, 2026). A season gives you that kind of schedule on your own. Every figure is also on our Texas electrician license statistics page.

The exam fee matters too: PSI charges $78 for the exam and $78 for each retake. See the Texas Journeyman retake rules.

What the full track would include (draft)

  • The weekly task list and the 12-step season track
  • Full timed two-part mocks in the PSI format, scored by part and by topic
  • Step-by-step solutions for every calculation question
  • A weekly plan email for the season
  • The season-only badge and an early price for the next season

Planned price: about $59 for the 12-week season, one payment, no auto-renewal. If you already own the Texas Journeyman Practice Pack, the planned price is lower. The final price is posted here before anything is sold.
